“Your I am only exists because of His I Am.” ~ Jonathan Cahn

Wow! Sometimes, the hardest thing a person can do is to tell others about himself or herself. Truth be told, most people really don’t know who they are.

By the grace of God, I have had the privilege of spending several years learning and discovering who I am.  Truth be told, I am still learning and discovering. But there are some things about me that I am very sure of. That’s the person I get the honor of telling you about today. Don’t worry, I promise it won’t take long (smile).

These are my sureties…

I am a daughter of the Most High God. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I was created by God for God, with the purpose of glorifying Him in the earth (Isaiah 43:7). This will forever be my lifelong goal and mission. Why? Because I was once lost, but now I am found. I was once blind, but now I see. I was once dead, but now through the life….death….resurrection of Jesus Christ, I am ALIVE!

I am a wife. I married my husband, Carlos, eight years ago. Carlos is my next best friend. Doing life with him has been tough, challenging, adventurous, fun, and blessed. He stretches me. Let me tell ya, I have had to learn a lot about the reality of marriage being one with this man. And, it has all been for my good. I will forever be eternally grateful for the kind of husband he is to me. Perfect? No. But he loves God and he loves me.

I am a mother. My family means a lot to me. Being a mother has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I must say though, that I really did not come to terms of what being a mother was about until after I started seriously walking with the Lord. You’ll learn more about that later.

Together, my husband and I are a blended family. I like to refer to us as being the Brady Bunch. We are the blessed parents of four boys and five girls. We are also the blessed grandparents of three beautiful grandchildren.

I am human. By no means do I consider myself perfect. I just want to let that be known. I make mistakes. I have ups and downs; good days and bad days. I am a woman who needs the mercy and grace of God showered down upon me daily. Honestly, apart from Jesus, I can do nothing (John 15:5).

I have special interests. I love to sing, write and read books… lots and lots of books. I love hair and makeup (Licensed Cosmetologist). Books, shoes, and purses are my thing. If you ever need to look for me in a local Walmart or clothing store, check those sections first. I guarantee you’ll find me.

What I hope that you will find here…

Truth… honesty… reality… vulnerability… someone you connect with and can relate to… wisdom… growth… maturity… and most importantly, the light of the Lord as I allow Him to shine through me.

I am honored and feel very privileged to be able to occupy this space. I consider myself to be a woman on a mission. Join me as I learn, grow, and transform. We can seek after God’s Truth while obtaining Heaven’s Treasure and encourage our souls together.
